    1. Patient presentation

    • A 54-year-old man presented with left-sided sciatica.
    • Magnetic resonance imaging of the lumbar spine revealed an inhomogeneous presacral mass. The
      lesion appeared iso- to hyperechoic with ultrasonography.
    • Laboratory testing did not reveal any abnormalities.
    • Contrast-enhanced CT of the abdomen and pelvis was performed to further investigate the
      mass.
