The rate of thromboembolic complications in patients with COVID-19 also evaluated by pulmonary CT angiography

A recent study from an Italian group estimated the rate of thromboembolic events in symptomatic patients with COVID-19 pneumonia. Venous and arterial thromboembolic events were diagnosed in 21% of patients, most of whom developed these complications within the first 24 hours after admission, as confirmed by pulmonary CT angiography in some cases.
