A study from the American Journal of Roentgenology evaluated the use of preoperative CT angiography (CTA) to estimate the probability of surgically induced chronic kidney disease (CKD) in patients undergoing nephrectomy. The body surface area-adjusted postoperative renal cortical volume measured on preoperative CTA represents a valid tool for assessing the probability of occurrence of surgically induced CKD.
