Photon-counting CT improves the image quality and diagnostic confidence of coronary CT angiography compared with conventional CT

A study from Radiology has shown, for the first time in humans, a significant improvement in the image quality, diagnostic quality and diagnostic confidence of coronary CT angiography performed with photon-counting CT as compared with conventional energy-integrating detector dual-layer CT, at comparable radiation dose. The findings confirm that photon-counting CT is a good candidate for coronary imaging.
