Major contribution of contrast-enhanced coronary CT angiography in defining a new risk model for predicting 4-year outcomes of patients with obstructive coronary artery disease

A recent study aimed to compare the efficiency of different predictive risk scores for cardiovascular events in patients with obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD) diagnosed with contrast-enhanced coronary CT angiography (CCTA). With the support of CCTA also during the follow-up, the authors could demonstrate the validity of a new optimized SCORE2 & SCORE2-OP risk model in predicting 4-year adverse outcomes in this category of patients.
