A study from the American Journal of Roentgenology assessed the role of CT colonography for the detection of synchronous colonic lesions in patients with occlusive colorectal cancer causing incomplete colonoscopy. CT colonography has shown a high level of accuracy in this type of patient, suggesting that it should be used in combination with conventional CT examination in colorectal cancer staging.
