Contrast-enhanced dual-energy CT functional parameters for predicting disease progression in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

A retrospective study on patients with a diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis evaluated the role of contrast-enhanced dual-energy CT-derived functional parameters in predicting disease progression. Regional ventilation and late parenchymal enhancement seem to be valid early markers of future structural lung changes in these patients.
