    Introduction

    European Radiology recently published a report on the use of whole-body CT angiography for the assessment of atherosclerosis [ 1 ]. This feasibility study, conducted by physicians at the Departments of Radiological Sciences, Internal Medicine, and Vascular and Cardiac Surgery of La Sapienza University of Rome, tested a new scanning and contrast medium delivery protocol for the evaluation of coronary and extracoronary atherosclerosis in a single MDCT examination.
