CT- and MR-Guided Interventions in Radiology is a book covering the rapidly evolving topic of interventions performed under CT or MR guidance. It is edited by Andreas Mahnken from Aachen, Germany, and by Jens Ricke from Magdeburg, Germany, and written by multiple authors from a variety of international institutions.
In the first part of the book, the authors cover the basic aspects and principles of CT- and MR-guided interventions, including typical indications, technical considerations and pitfalls. They describe typical approaches to reach the respective target, discuss the techniques of and indications for navigation, and also cover the medical management of the patient. In addition, the authors address the important issue of radiation protection during CT-guided interventions and discuss special considerations for image-guided interventions in children.
