Diffuse abdominal pain and frequent diarrhea in a young man

    1. Patient Presentation

    • A 32-year-old man presented with diffuse abdominal pain and frequent diarrhea. Superficial and deep abdominal palpation revealed tenderness, primarily over the left flank and iliac fossa.
    • Blood tests showed an elevated white blood cell count and increased C-reactive protein levels.
    • A contrast-enhanced CT was performed to rule out bowel occlusion or perforation.
