Evaluation of local treatment in HCC

    Asunción Torregrosa Andrés

Over the years, advancements in imaging techniques have driven the American College of Radiology to continually update the Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS). This system provides standardized and rigorous criteria for the timely detection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and the accurate assessment of treatment response. Recently, the LI-RADS committee has reviewed and refined the system, introducing updated algorithms and categories for Treatment Response Assessment (TRA).

In this new videographic, Prof. Torregrosa compares the previous and the updated versions of the LI-RADS TRA criteria, highlighting the key innovations and the benefits of the revised system. She also explores its practical application, with the support of observations and data derived from CT imaging in post-treatment evaluation.
