A. Laghi
CT colonography (CTC) is currently the most minimally invasive imaging procedure for the study of colon.
In this videographic, Prof. Laghi examines the advantages of CTC over conventional colonoscopy in specific conditions, and highlights the differences between these two techniques. His talk, supported by impactful infographics, will guide you step-by-step through each stage of the examination from both the patient’s and the clinician’s perspective. Based on the guidelines developed by the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology and the CT Colonography Working Group, Prof. Laghi also discusses the benefits provided by the use of iodinated contrast medium and the application of artificial intelligence, which can increase CTC diagnostic performance, accuracy, sensitivity and safety, while reducing radiation exposure.
