    1. Patient Presentation

    • An 89-year-old woman presented with focal right-sided abdominal pain for 7 days.
    • Laboratory tests showed white blood cell count in the normal range; C-reactive protein 183 (0-5) mg/dL; erythrocyte sedimentation rate 86 (0-30) mm/h.
    • Plain radiography of the abdomen revealed no findings.
    • Contrast-enhanced CT of the abdomen and pelvis was performed to rule out surgical disease or mesenteric ischemia.
