    1. Patient presentation

    • A 64-year-old man with long-standing liver cirrhosis presented with right flank pain and hematuria.
    • Laboratory tests revealed elevated alpha-fetoprotein levels (6500 ng/ml; normal range 3-4 ng/ml).
    • Ultrasonography showed multiple liver masses.
    • Dual-energy CT of the liver was performed to rule out hepatocellular carcinoma.
