    1. Patient Presentation

    • A newborn with pulmonary atresia and ventricular septal defect was admitted for a palliative
      operation as the pulmonary circulation depended on the ductus arteriosus.

    • A modified Blalock-Taussig shunt between the brachiocephalic truncus and the right pulmonary
      artery was done when the child was 8 days old.

    • CT was performed to evaluate the patency of this palliative shunt.
