    1. Patient presentation

    • A 70-year-old man presented with lower right abdominal pain and alternating periods of
      constipation and diarrhea.

    • Clinical and laboratory examinations revealed fever and mild leukocytosis.
    • Ultrasonography and radiography of the abdomen showed slight distension of the small bowel and
      a small calcification in the right lower quadrant.
    • Multiphasic contrast-enhanced CT of the abdomen was performed.
