    1. Patient Presentation

    • A 49-year-old male patient, previously healthy and with no significant medical history, presented with severe, acute chest pain.
    • On admission, his blood pressure was markedly elevated (215/110 mmHg) and, although he was in severe pain, he remained hemodynamically stable.
    • To confirm or exclude the suspected diagnosis of acute aortic syndrome, CT angiography of the entire aorta was requested and performed.
