    1. Patient presentation

    • An 87-year-old man was referred for CT for re-evaluation of lung pneumonia and
      hydropneumothorax caused by drainage of pleural effusion.

    • His medical history included bloating, tenderness and discomfort in the lower left abdomen, but
      no surgical operations.

    • Laboratory tests gave normal results.
    • Unenhanced CT of the chest and abdomen was performed
