    1. Patient presentation

    • A 58-year-old man presented for an imaging examination as follow-up to prior cancer treatment.
    • His medical history included surgical resection of ascending colon cancer 1 year earlier and, 6
      months later, combined locoregional therapy (cytoreductive surgery and intraperitoneal
      chemohyperthermia) for peritoneal carcinomatosis. Moreover, he had asthma but did not smoke.
    • Tests for tumor markers and respiratory function, including lung diffusing capacity, gave
      normal results.
    • Unenhanced CT of the chest was performed.
