- A 58-year-old man presented for an imaging examination as follow-up to prior cancer treatment.
- His medical history included surgical resection of ascending colon cancer 1 year earlier and, 6
months later, combined locoregional therapy (cytoreductive surgery and intraperitoneal
chemohyperthermia) for peritoneal carcinomatosis. Moreover, he had asthma but did not smoke.
- Tests for tumor markers and respiratory function, including lung diffusing capacity, gave
normal results.
- Unenhanced CT of the chest was performed.
