1. Patient presentation
- A 52-year-old man presented with chest pain and progressive dyspnea.
- His medical history included colon cancer, which had been treated with surgery and
chemotherapy.
- Echocardiography indicated endocarditis; blood tests confirmed the endocarditis and also
revealed anemia. - Chest radiography demonstrated multiple opacities, some of which were partially cavitated.
- Contrast-enhanced CT of the chest was performed to investigate further.
