1. Patient presentation
- A 69-year-old man presented to the otorhinolaryngology department with a 3-month history of cough, progressive hoarseness and chest pain.
- On questioning, he indicated that he had been smoking for 40 years.
- Endoscopy revealed left vocal cord palsy.
- Contrast-enhanced CT of the neck and chest was performed in order to investigate potential causes of the vocal cord palsy.
