    • A 69-year-old man was brought to the emergency room after a high-velocity motor vehicle accident.
    • He lost consciousness directly after the traumatic impact and remained in a comatose state.
    • Non-enhanced CT of the brain was performed to rule out intracranial hemorrhage.
