    1. Patient Presentation

    • A 59-year-old, mentally impaired woman was referred to the radiology department with chronic renal failure.
    • Her medical history included recurrent episodes of unexplained fever, flank pain and lower back pain, occurring for the past 10 years.
    • Abdominal ultrasonography suggested the presence of renal calculi.
    • Unenhanced CT of the abdomen and pelvis was performed.
