1. Patient presentation
- An 88-year-old man presented to the pneumology department with fever, chest pain, and progressive dyspnea and weakness over the past several weeks.
- The patient reported having recurrent episodes of pneumonia in the previous months.
- Chest radiography revealed extensive opacification of the left lung, suggesting lung cancer.
- Contrast-enhanced MDCT of the chest, abdomen and pelvis was performed for further investigation.
