1. Patient presentation

  • A 65-year-old man experienced acute-onset chest pain, leading to his admission in our coronary
    care unit 2 hours later.

  • Electrocardiography (ECG) showed ST elevation in lateral leads; echocardiography showed
    hemopericardium.

  • A contrast-enhanced ECG-gated acquisition using dual-source multidetector CT was performed to
    rule out aortic dissection with coronary involvement.
