    1. Patient Presentation

    • A 23-year-old woman was referred to our hospital with acute renal failure and hypertensive
      urgency.

    • Clinical examination revealed that she also had hyperthyreosis and obesity (BMI=38).
    • To further investigate the kidneys, an ultrasound-guided biopsy of the left kidney was
      performed. After biopsy, follow-up ultrasonography (US) revealed an unclear mass between the
      pancreas, spleen and kidney.

    • As it was not possible to further classify the lesion with US, contrast-enhanced CT of the
      abdomen was performed.
