    1. Patient Presentation

    • A 46-year-old female was admitted to hospital because of acute lower right side abdominal pain.
    • On admission, she presented elevated C reactive protein (21.8 mg/l) and slight leukocytosis
      (12.1 Giga/l).

    • Ultrasound revealed an unclear abdominal mass.
    • The patient was sent for a CT examination to exclude a tumor or acute appendicitis with
      abscess.
