1. Patient Presentation
- A 46-year-old female was admitted to hospital because of acute lower right side abdominal pain.
- On admission, she presented elevated C reactive protein (21.8 mg/l) and slight leukocytosis
(12.1 Giga/l). - Ultrasound revealed an unclear abdominal mass.
- The patient was sent for a CT examination to exclude a tumor or acute appendicitis with
abscess.
