    1. Patient presentation

    • A 74-year-old male patient presented with chest pain and swallowing problems.
    • Laboratory tests revealed an elevated white blood cell count as well as an abnormal C-reactive protein (CRP).
    • CT angiography of the thoracic aorta was performed to rule out / detect aortic pathology.
