1. Patient Presentation
- An 82-year-old man presented with fatigue and multiple episodes of upper gastrointestinal bleeding. In June 2023, he had experienced three episodes of hematemesis and melena
- Esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed a Forrest 2B ulcer located on the lesser curvature of the stomach, while histological examination was unremarkable. Bulging of the gastric wall was also noted.
- Laboratory tests showed anemia (hemoglobin: 9.1 g/dL), while other parameters were within normal limits.
- A contrast-enhanced abdominal CT was performed to investigate potential sources of occult bleeding.
