A large retrospective multicenter study from Radiology analysed the chest CT diagnostic and severity scores of >3800 patients with COVID-19 to correlate them to the patient’s vaccination status and SARS-CoV-2 variant. Chest CT (unenhanced and contrast-enhanced), now mainly used to detect complications and assess disease severity, showed fewer cases of typical COVID-19 CT pattern and a lesser extent of disease in patients with omicron variant and vaccination compared to delta variant and no vaccination.
