The comparison between two different protocols in patients undergoing Wide-Detector CT angiography for simultaneous imaging of the aorta and coronary arteries showed that the volume following helical approach is associated with greater results

A recent work from a Korean group aimed to compare two different protocols (variable helical
pitch and volume following helical) in patients undergoing Wide-Detector CT angiography with
single contrast injection for the simultaneous evaluation of the aorta and coronary arteries. Results
have shown that volume following helical protocol is associated with lesser radiation exposure and
    greater image quality.
