Renal injury during CT examinations is not due to the use of contrast medium, says a new meta-analysis.

According to a new meta-analysis, the frequencies of acute kidney injury, need for renal replacement therapy, and mortality are similar between noncontrast and contrast-enhanced CT and therefore not attributable to the use of contrast medium.
