A study from Academic Radiology evaluated dose reduction and image quality in coronary CT angiography performed with higher iodine concentration and higher noise level in comparison to a conventional CT protocol. High iodine concentration and noise level have shown to reduce radiation dose while maintaining a sufficient image quality for the diagnosis of coronary disease in low-dose CT angiography.
