Pulmonary embolism in patients with COVID-19 as assessed by contrast-enhanced CT angiography

A study from Radiology evaluated the prevalence of pulmonary embolism (PE) in patients with COVID-19 who underwent contrast-enhanced CT angiography of the chest. PE was found in about one-third of cases, with a higher prevalence in patients with high D-dimer values and critical illness.
