Prediction of the acute procedural success of atrial fibrillation ablation using cardiac CT

A recent study evaluated the relationship between the acute procedural success rate of atrial
fibrillation ablation based on first-pass pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) and specific anatomical
parameters measured by cardiac CT. Left atrial wall thickness seems not to impact on the acute
procedural success of PVI, whereas larger right superior pulmonary vein diameter could be
associated with successful right-sided first-pass isolation.
