In patients with suspected acute stroke, CT angiography with tube current reduction and an iterative reconstruction process may be a strategy enabling substantial lowering of the radiation dose

A new study from the American Journal of Roentgenology showed that CT angiography with iterative reconstruction and tube current reduction to 25% of routine scans did not cause excessive degradation of image quality or significantly affect the detection of vessel abnormality in patients with suspected acute stroke.
