In patients with intracranial arterial occlusion, the collateral scores for the collateral status assessment provided by multiphase CT angiography are close to the optimal collateral score obtained from CT perfusion

A recent study showed that, in patients with acute intracranial occlusion, collateral status assessment depends on the timing of acquisition in CT perfusion (CTP). Furthermore, it demonstrated that the collateral scores extracted from multiphase CT angiography strictly correlate with the optimal collateral score obtained from CTP.
