A study by a German group evaluated the performance of dual-source CT using different radiation dose levels generated from a standard-dose CT protocol in patients with suspected cervical abscess. A reduction in the radiation dose to 25% of the original dose maintains the same diagnostic accuracy for cervical abscess.
