Contrast-enhanced CT of right cardiac chambers proved to be useful for planning transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement procedure

A study from European Radiology applied contrast-enhanced CT imaging of right heart in pre-interventional assessment of patients undergoing transcatheter replacement of tricuspid valve.
Results have highlighted the role of CT, and the authors recommend it should always be performed before each intervention, in order to evaluate patient anatomy and to predict all potential pitfalls and technical challenges that could be encountered during this developing procedure.
