320-slice CT can safely limit the need for catheter angiography in patients with suspected CAD

A single-center German RCT, reported in the BMJ, found that, in patients with suspected CAD due to angina, 320-slice MDCT was a safe first diagnostic test able to individuate a minority of patients requiring invasive angiography and exclude from further testing those in whom CT ruled out obstructive disease.
