The 108th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) was held at McCormick Place in Chicago (Illinois) from last November 27 to December 1. “Empowering patients and partners in care” was this year’s motto, in keeping with the global tendency to place the patient at the center of the diagnostic and therapeutic process.
First of all, although still far from prepandemic “in-person” attendance levels, this meeting enjoyed an overall attendance very similar to the prepandemic period. Some countries, such as China, still have travel restrictions due to COVID-19, and the possibility to attend the meeting also virtually can explain the high attendance figures.
Emblematically, the bridge connecting the South and the East buildings at McCormick Place experienced a dramatic rise in the number of people crossing it compared to last year.
