ESGAR 2019 in Rome: A tour around abdominal radiology… and “The Great Beauty”

Dear readers,

The 30th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR) has just ended in the magnificent setting of Rome. Enthusiasm for this unique experience intensely pervades the comprehensive description of the event provided by Professor Laghi, the Meeting President and proud host of this unforgettable congress, where the innovations in the field of abdominal diagnostics and the latest advances in interventional radiology were widely emphasized.

Since the meeting was strongly characterized by an educational mission and offered numerous training activities, we propose a new clinical case and a few past clinical cases from the mdct.net archive that demonstrate the essential role of MDCT in the diagnosis of abdominal diseases.

We remind you that suggestions for new topics to be covered in future issues are always welcome. Please contact us at editorial@mdct.net.

ANALYSIS & OPINION

ESGAR 2019 in the Eternal City
A. Laghi

Rome recently hosted the Annual Meeting and Postgraduate Course of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR) on June 5-8, 2019. This year’s ESGAR meeting will be remembered for many reasons, from the scientific program to the venue, from the weather to Italian food, but, in particular, because it was the meeting where the 30th anniversary of the society was celebrated.
