Dear mdct.net users,
The congenital abnormalities of the inner ear may involve both the osseous and the membranous labyrinth and need to be adequately recognized and evaluated. The identification of this kind of deformities through the imaging examinations can have a favourable impact on the clinical management of these conditions and the prognosis. MDCT is widely used as the preferred imaging modality to delineate the complex osseous anatomy and malformations of the inner ear.
To illustrate the advantages of this radiologic technique in the study of the inner ear and for the diagnosis of its various malformations, this newsletter presents Professor Ertl-Wagner’s latest Focus on, four clinical cases, a selection of research papers and an e-book.
As always, we welcome suggestions for new topics to be covered in future issues. For this purpose, please email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
