A New Array Of Clinical Cases Inspired by
the ECR 2026 Theme

Dear readers,

The 2026 European Congress of Radiology (ECR) has concluded, yet its “Ray of Knowledge” continues to illuminate and inspire the radiology community. One of the primary objectives of ECR 2026 was “to prepare both trainees and board-certified radiologists for the evolving challenges of patient-centered, technology-driven healthcare,” as stated by Congress President Minerva Becker.

In this spirit, we are pleased to present a curated collection of new clinical cases, including applications of the updated CAD-RADSTM 2.0 classification system, as well as a particularly compelling case highlighting one of the most advanced diagnostic technologies available today: spectral CT. This innovative modality enables more precise tissue characterization, enhanced contrast resolution, and exceptionally high image quality—much like the owl depicted on the official congress poster, symbolizing clarity of vision through darkness, particularly when facing the most challenging diagnostic scenarios.

We hope that these cases will prove both engaging and practically valuable, supporting your daily clinical decision-making and ongoing professional development. For suggestions on new topics to be featured in future newsletters, please contact us at editorial@mdct.net.
