Dear readers,
During the last days of October, the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology (ESCR) and the European Society of Thoracic Imaging (ESTI) celebrated their second join meeting, hosted in the city of Berlin. Just as the Berlin wall, these two distinct societies broke down the dividing wall in 2018 and this year they successfully repeated the shared experience, reinforcing the strict interrelation and overlap of two disciplines of cardiac and thoracic imaging. As enthusiastically described by Dr. De Santis in his congress report, included in this Newsletter and accompanied by very suggestive pictures, close proximity was the cornerstone of the meeting as well, since all attendees from all over the world had the opportunity to participate in face-to-face discussions, share their clinical experience and expand their knowledge during the numerous scientific events held over the three intensive days of the conference.
MDCT.net intends to play a part in this strengthened partnership by proposing four clinical cases from its archive, where cardiovascular and chest pathologies are investigated and diagnosed through the contribution of CT imaging.
As usual, suggestions for topics to be covered in future issues of this newsletter are welcome: please send your proposals to us at editorial@mdct.net.
