    1. Patient Presentation

    • A 2-year-old girl presented with recent onset of a progressive facial and mandibular asymmetry.
    • On physical inspection the right side of her face was smaller than the left side.
    • Laboratory tests were normal.
    • A non-contrast CT scan of the head was requested by the maxillofacial unit and the images were examined using settings for both bone and soft tissue windows. Volume-rendered reformations were generated. The brain was also evaluated.
