1. Patient Presentation
- A 76-year-old woman presented with abdominal pain and closed bowel for the past three days. Superficial and deep palpation of the abdomen revealed tenderness over all abdominal quadrants.
- Blood tests showed a normal white blood cell count and elevated levels of C-reactive protein and lactate dehydrogenase.
- Contrast-enhanced CT was performed to rule out bowel occlusion or bowel perforation.
