CT for staging and follow-up of pancreatobiliary neoplasm – A focus on perioperative imaging and detection of cancer recurrence (Oncologic CT imaging Series – Ep. 6)

    Michel Eisenblatter

In this last podcast, Prof. Eisenblätter illustrates the essential value of contrast-enhanced CT technology in the primary diagnosis and post-treatment follow-up of pancreatic cancer. One of the relevant issues addressed in this podcast is that of the appropriate radiation dose to be delivered to assure a high image quality while protect the patient. To improve the diagnostic efficacy of CT and preserve image quality, Prof. Eisenblätter also suggests criteria for post-contrast arterial-phase and venous-phase acquisitions both in primary diagnostics and in post-treatment imaging.
