    1. Patient Presentation

    • A 50-year-old man presented with lower left quadrant pain.
    • Medical history revealed a left hemicolectomy 2 months earlier.
    • Laboratory tests indicated a white blood cell count of 18 000/L.
    • Abdominal ultrasonography of the left mid-abdomen, in particular with transverse sections, was
      requested.

    • Abdominal CT was also requested.
