1. Patient Presentation
- A 50-year-old man presented with lower left quadrant pain.
- Medical history revealed a left hemicolectomy 2 months earlier.
- Laboratory tests indicated a white blood cell count of 18 000/L.
- Abdominal ultrasonography of the left mid-abdomen, in particular with transverse sections, was
requested. - Abdominal CT was also requested.
