Liver and spleen scalloping on preoperative CT in patients with pseudomyxoma peritonei is associated with advanced stage of disease

    A recent retrospective study highlighted the contribution of preoperative CT in assessing the prognostic role of liver and spleen scalloping in patients with pseudomyxoma peritonei. The authors reported that liver and spleen scalloping, already known as radiological signs detected at CT, can be considered markers of a more extensive and aggressive disease.
